What We Believe

We believe in salvation through the confession of Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.

(Romans 8:16-17; Romans 10:8-17; Luke 24:47; Titus 2:11; Titus 3:4-7; Ephesians 2:8-10)

We believe the Holy Bible is the Inspired Word of God.

(Isaiah 40:8; Acts 20:32; 1 Thessalonians 2:13; 2 Timothy 3:15-17; Hebrews 4:12; 1 Peter 1:23-25; 2 Peter (1:20-21)

We believe there is only one living and true God. The Godhead consists of three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

(Deuteronomy 6:4; Isaiah 43:10-13; Isaiah 48:12-13, 16; Matthew 28:19; Mark 12:29; Luke 3:22; 1 John 5:7)

We believe God created the world and that all its contents are for His own pleasure and the enjoyment of His creatures.

(Genesis 1:1-31; Psalm 33:6-9; 1 Timothy 6:13; Hebrews 11:3; Revelation 4:11)

We believe God created man in His own image as a triune being consisting of a spirit, soul, and body.

(Genesis 1:26-27; 1 Thessalonians 5:23)

We believe Jesus Christ, conceived of the Virgin Mary, is the only begotten Son of the Father. Jesus was crucified, buried, and rose from the dead. He ascended to heaven and is today at the right hand of the Father as the Intercessor.

(Luke 1:26-33; Hebrews 7:25)

We believe Jesus Christ, conceived of the Virgin Mary, is the only begotten Son of the Father. Jesus was crucified, buried, and rose from the dead. He ascended to heaven and is today at the right hand of the Father as the Intercessor.

(Luke 1:26-33; Hebrews 7:25)

We believe in the Baptism of the Holy Ghost as evidenced by the initial physical sign of speaking with other tongues as the Spirit gives utterance and by the subsequent manifestation of spiritual power in public testimony and service in love.

(Acts 1:8; Acts 2:4; Acts 42:43; Acts 10:44-47; Acts 11:14-17; Acts 15:7-9; Acts 19:2, 6; Isaiah 28:11; Mark 16:17, 1 Corinthians 4:1-5; 1 Corinthians 4:5-16)

We believe in water baptism by immersion in water in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost.

(Matthew 28:18-20; Mark 16:16; Acts 2:38; Acts 10:47-48; Romans 6:4; Colossians 2:11-12)

We believe in water baptism by immersion in water in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost.

(Matthew 28:18-20; Mark 16:16; Acts 2:38; Acts 10:47-48; Romans 6:4; Colossians 2:11-12)

We believe that divine healing has been provided for in the atonement.

(Psalms 103:1-6; Isaiah 53:4-5; Matthew 8:16-17; Mark 16:17-18; James 5:14-16; 1 Peter 2:24)

We believe that tithing is God’s financial plan for the support of His work.

(Malachi 3:8-12; 1 Corinthians 16:1-2; Genesis 8:22; Matthew 23:23; Leviticus 27:30-34; Deuteronomy 26)

We believe in the Second Coming of our Lord, Jesus Christ.

(Acts 1:10-11; 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18; Revelation 1:7)

We believe in the Five-Fold Ministry. The Church must be taught and led by the apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers. The Five-Fold Ministry is to teach and train its people to do the work of the ministry with maturity and unity in mind.

(1 Peter 2:5, 9; Revelation 1:6; Ephesians 4:11-13)

We believe those who die in Christ (those born again) will share eternal glory with Him in Heaven. However, those who have not received Jesus as their Lord will spend eternity in Hell, separated from His presence.

(Daniel 12:2; Matthew 25:46; John 5:29; Jude 1:7)

We believe in the sacredness of marriage between one man & one woman and family commitment. We promote strong family values.

(Ephesians 5:31-33; Ephesians 6:1-4)

God has created humanity in His own image.  He created us either as a male or as a female. Our gender is determined at birth by our Creator.  A man and a woman together make up the complete expression of God.

(Genesis 1:26-27; Genesis 2:21-25; Genesis 5:1,2; Psalm 139:13-18; Isaiah 43:7 Matthew 19:4-6; Mark 10:6-9; 1 Corinthians 11:8,9)

Pastor Marc Siegel

Pastor Marc Siegel has been in full-time ministry for most of the 40+ years that he has been saved. He has been part of the pastoral staff of Abundant Life Worship Center of Whippany since the church's inception (1991).

Before this, he served in many ministry roles and functions at Living Praise Church (Bloomfield, NJ) for eight years. In the summer of 2017, he and his wife, Elaine, took over the pastorate of Abundant Life Northwest.

A former drug addict and heroin user, his life is a testimony of the saving, healing, and delivering power of Jesus Christ. Marc’s life of drugs and alcohol started at age 13, around the time of his Bar Mitzvah. After high school, Marc traveled for four years throughout the United States, Central America, and South America. He graduated from smoking marijuana to shooting heroin and cocaine by the time he was 19 years old. He was trying to fill the void in his life through drugs, adventure, and reckless living. During these “wild” years, a spiritual hunger awakened in him.

From a Jewish upbringing, a two-year journey through the Old Testament and his Jewish tradition brought him faith in the Messiah. This conversion happened while he was going to college with plans of becoming a chiropractor. In July 1980, at age 21, Marc received Yeshua HaMaschich as his Lord and Savior. He was instantly delivered from all use and desire for drugs, alcohol, tobacco, and an illicit lifestyle. Marc knew immediately that he would not be a chiropractor but that God had called him into full-time ministry. He joined the Intervarsity Christian Fellowship at the college where he met Elaine. They were friends for four years before they began dating. They married in 1986 and have two girls and a son-in-law:
Stephanie Siegel and Nikki & Brad Outlaw. They currently have 2 granddaughters.

Pastor Marc endeavors to live out one of his favorite scriptures, “I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.” (Galatians 2:20)
Pastor Marc has served in many capacities in his many years of ministry. Some of these are as a Bible School director and teacher; conference speaker in India, Ghana, Kenya, and Ukraine; and overseer of the Ministry of Helps, Sunday School program, Men of Valor Ministry, King’s Kids Preschool and Daycare Center, etc. He is on the Board of Directors of several Christian ministries. He was then Chaplain of the Frelinghuysen Township Volunteer Fire Department and the Chaplain of the New Jersey Forest Fire Service North - Division A.

Pastor Marc graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science and Math from William Patterson College. He has certificates from several church Bible schools and is presently enrolled in Vision International, where he is working toward his Master of Theology.

Together with his wife Elaine, they live to fulfill 1 Corinthians 16:15: “… they have devoted themselves to the ministry of the saints.” They are also grateful to the Lord that their children serve in their local churches.
