Countdown to Pentecost

Join us for the next 7 Sundays (starting 4/8) leading to Pentecost Sunday.  We will learn how the Day of Pentecost was actually the Jewish Feast day called Shavuot. The Lord instructed the nation of Israel to count 7 sabbath after the Feast of Firstfruits (Resurrection Sunday) and then celebrate Shavuot, the Feast of Weeks on the 50th day.  The Church knows this day as Pentecost (which means 50). It is the day that the Lord determined to pour out the Holy Spirit on the Church.  The Jewish Rabbis traditionally believe that it was on Shavuot (the Feast of Weeks) that Moses receive the Law on Mt. Sinai.  As the Law was given to Moses on Shavuot, which was the commencement of the congregation in the wilderness, so was the outpouring of the Holy Spirit on the Day of Pentecost, the establishment of the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ.  I invite you to join us and discover the true blessing of the Person of the Holy Spirit in your life.
